Bollywood Dance School
Diwakar Performing Arts group has been teaching 1000’s of students since 1995 in India and the USA. We are experts in training students ages 4 and up in Bollywood & South Asian Dance. Working with Master Choreographer, Mr. Anil Diwakar undoubtedly brings each of our student’s skills and talent to a higher level with each session. For the new and inexperienced students, Mr. Diwakar finds the talent within them and extracts the “performer” in them to shape them into naturally talented performers.
Diwakar Performing Arts Group not only provides teaching but a platform where students are offered the opportunity to perform in professional Bollywood shows, community events, competitions and our End-of-Year Dance Recital. Our school teaches Bollywood dance, semi-classical, Bolly-HipHop, Bolly-Punjab, Bolly-Freestyle, Modern Bollywood and Bollywood Fitness. Six to ten students per class provides our students with a smaller class atmosphere for better instruction.
Our students learn more than just dance. They find a connection to the rich Indian culture, self-discipline, responsibility and experience and learn all the ins and outs of a true professional Bollywood performance from rehearsal and staging to dress rehearsal. Diwakar Performing Arts Group’s renowned End-of-Year Dance Recital, Dancing Spirits, unveils in a professional setting and venue complete with professional staging and even an audiovisual crew for that true Bollywood experience!
Dance Studio Policy:
Our 2009-2010 session is a 10 month session from September-June
♠ Class size- 8 to 14 students per class
♠ Students must wear appropriate dance attire provided by DPA
♠ Required: black sneakers or black jazz sneakers (recommended)
♠ Girls- hair must be tied up and away from the face
♠ No jewelry
♠ No gum chewing or candy permitted during class
♠ No cell phones
♠ Absolutely no food in the studio or waiting areas- strictly enforced by studios
♠ Water/energy drinks permitted
♠ All drink bottles must be thrown away or taken with you- do not leave in the stusio or waiting area
♠ All younger students must be supervised by parents at all times before & after class - no drop offs
♠ If the instructor is not present in the studio or has not yet arrived parents must stay with students
♠ Arrive 10 minutes before class- no sooner
♠ Students must be on time- no students will be pemitted to attend class that day if late
♠ Students are not permitted in the studio without an instructor and must wait outside or in the waiting area with a parent
